Enrique Oltra D.D.S, M.S.D., Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics
Endodontist
Dr. Oltra was born and raised in Valencia, Spain. After finishing his first Bachelor of Arts in Spain, he moved to Virginia in 2002. He then graduated from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ with a second Bachelor of Arts in 2008. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington in 2012. He continued at the University of Washington for his post-graduate residency obtaining his specialty Certificate in Endodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry in 2014.
Dr. Oltra is a Board-Certified endodontist who has completed all phases of board certification by the American Board of Endodontics. He continues to be involved in education as an Affiliate Faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in the Department of Endodontics. He has published articles in the Journal of Endodontics, Clinical Oral Implants Research, Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics, and International Endodontic Journal.
Dr. Oltra is a volunteer at Lackey Clinic, a charitable healthcare center, where he and other dentists help patients from the Peninsula improve their oral health. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, International Association of Dental Traumatology, Virginia Dental Association, and Peninsula Dental Society.
In his spare time, Dr. Oltra enjoys reading, riding his road bicycle, cooking Spanish dishes, walking his dogs, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Elizabeth Render
Business Administrator
Elizabeth is Dr. Oltra’s wife and comes to Ultra Endodontics from a background in medicine. She practiced as a Physician Assistant for 12 years prior to transitioning into Dentistry. Having worked side-by-side with Dr. Oltra since 2017, she is often found working as a Dental Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or behind the scenes as Business Administrator. Elizabeth loves to go swimming with their daughters on her days off.
Jillian Schmidt
Clinic Coordinator
Jillian is a New Jerseyan who moved to Virginia when she began her undergraduate career at Christopher Newport University, where she studies Cellular, Molecular, and Physiological Biology and Chemistry. In her spare time, she enjoys interior designing and styling, reading, crocheting, and spending time with her friends and family. Jillian has had a passion for dentistry since she was a teenager and hopes to gain acceptance to dental school in the near future. She currently works as Lead Assistant and Clinical Coordinator. Because of her personal experiences with dentistry, she is inspired to continue in her unwavering commitment to excellent patient care and education.
Raquel Veloso Das Neves
Senior Dental Assistant
Raquel is originally from Portugal. She completed her Associates Degree at Thomas Nelson Community College in 2020. She is currently attending school at VCU studying in the Clinical Radiation Sciences Bachelor’s program. She is a Senior Dental Assistant and works at the Front Desk. She enjoys spending time with her family and visiting new places.
Mikaela Bullock
Senior Dental Assistant
Mikaela was raised in Williamsburg and attended Jamestown High School, but she has lived in Hawaii where her family hails from. She attended Thomas Nelson until 2020. She works at the Front Desk and as a Senior Dental Assistant. She enjoys spending time with her friends, family and cat Koji.
Landon Kennerley
Dental Assistant
A recent Williamsburg transplant, Landon is happy to join the Ultra Endodontics family as its newest addition. He became fluent in Spanish while serving a two-year mission in Uruguay, then began his higher education at WCC in his home state of Washington. Though he loves the East Coast, his Pacific Island roots will always draw him back to Hawaii and New Zealand, where he spent much of his childhood. These days, Landon is most often found reading, listening to as much new music as he can find, and spending time with his husband and their cat, Lacy.
